Jackford Irish Potato Gin
Jackford Irish Potato Gin
artisanal gin, infused with Irish botanicals
Our premium handcrafted gin of 41% alcoholic volume, made with a carefully chosen list of
botanicals. The creamy, smooth potato base of Jackford is complemented by the natural
sweetness from our unique mix of botanicals, balanced to perfection with citrus, spicy and
earthy notes.
Handcrafted using our own special recipe Jackford Irish Potato Gin is distilled using fourteen
selected plantae and botanicals. It is a smooth old-style fusion with a few hidden twists,
creamy delivering a long finish with a fruit lining that teases and satisfies as only Jackford’s
distinctive flavour can.
Plantae & Botanicals
Potato
Solanum Tuberosum
Complex, rich and nuanced, the smooth full mouth-feel that originates from a 100% potato-based spirit is particularly well suited to gin.
Potatoes contain protein, no fat, and lots of fibre. They are also a source of potassium, important for healthy blood pressure and contribute a significant amount of Vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant and important for immune health.
Cassia Bark
Cinnamomum cassia
A member of the cinnamon family, the bark releases exotic warming, sweet and earthy tones with a sweet finish.
Cassia adds a delicate spice flavour to Jackford Gin. As like other mid-palate flavours, its contribution helps balance the overall aroma and taste rather than as a primary flavour.
Orris Root
Florentine Iris, Germanica
Perfumed in character, it holds and fixes other botanical flavours and adds floral notes too.
Orris root derived from Iris Florentina adds violet and sweet earthy and woody notes to Jackford Gin. The orris root binds the flavours of the other botanicals together, reducing volatility and helping Jackford gin to keep the integrity of its flavour profile for longer.
Liquorice Root
Glycyrrhiza glabra
Melds its beautifully woody- earthiness, fresh and bittersweet qualities to compliment, lengthen and soften flavours.
The liquorice taste is not really like liquorice flavour, being woodier and less obviously sweet. Liquorice is prized for contributing an oily texture to the spirit, increasing its viscosity.
Juniper
juniperus communis
The backbone of Gin; fragrant and spicy with bitter sweetness tones of pine, lavender and peppery notes.
Juniper provides a sharp, piney, and resinous flavour that carries a hint of citrus.
Basil
Ocimum basilicum
A delicate herb, basil’s subtle peppery tones evolve into a slightly sweet, aromatic flavour.
Tasting Notes

Texture
Full and viscous.

Clean, fresh, light alcoholic, warming and demonstrative of the crispness of spring water.
